Ground screw installation timeline

From enquiry to
installed foundation.

The timeline starts before installation day. Drawings, access, ground conditions, materials and scheduling all affect when the foundation can be installed.

Typical workflow

Five stages from enquiry to handover.

01

Send the details

Send what you are building, the dimensions, location and any drawings you have.

02

Check the site

We review access, levels, what is known about the ground and the proposed screw positions.

03

Agree the job & date

We confirm what is included in the quote and agree an installation date, subject to availability.

04

Installation

The ground screws are marked out and installed with specialist equipment.

05

Final checks

The finished foundation is checked and left ready for the next stage of the build.

What changes the programme?

The installation day is only one part.

01

Drawings & dimensions

Clear drawings or a ground screw layout reduce questions before installation is booked.

02

Access & set-up

Tight sites can change the machinery, labour and time needed to get equipment into position.

03

Ground conditions

Rock, rubble or soft ground can change the plan while the screws are being installed.

04

Size of the foundation

More screws and larger or more complicated layouts naturally take longer.

05

Brackets & beams

Extra brackets, beams or frame work can add time beyond installing the screws themselves.

06

Calculations & testing

Some jobs need calculations, testing or approval information before or after installation.

Ground screws

No concrete curing period.

Once the installed foundation has been checked and accepted, the next construction stage can normally proceed without waiting for a concrete pour to cure.

But not a stopwatch promise

Fast does not mean “always same day”.

Job size, access and ground conditions vary. We would rather give you a realistic timescale than advertise a same-day promise that may not apply.

Good information usually means fewer delays.

Dimensions, a postcode, access photos and any drawings help us understand the job before installation day.

Timeline FAQs

Ground screw timing questions, answered.

Direct answers on installation duration, build readiness, lead time, delays and the programme comparison with concrete.

01

How long does ground screw installation take?

Installation time depends on how many screws are needed, the size of the foundation, site access and ground conditions. A small straightforward job may be completed in one visit; larger or more difficult projects will take longer.

02

Can you build straight after ground screw installation?

Ground screw foundations do not depend on a concrete curing period. Once the installed foundation has been checked and accepted for the project, the next construction stage can normally proceed without waiting for concrete to cure.

03

How long from enquiry to ground screw installation?

Lead time depends on how much project information is ready, whether drawings or site checks are needed, material availability, travel and our installation schedule. We confirm dates for the actual job rather than promising one lead time for everyone.

04

What can delay a ground screw installation?

Incomplete structural information, restricted access, buried services, unexpected ground conditions, changes to the building layout, material lead time or weather and site-safety constraints can all affect the programme.

05

Are ground screws faster than concrete foundations?

They can shorten the foundation stage because there can be less digging and there is no wait for concrete to cure. The total build time still depends on the building, the site and the size of the job.
